Firefighting booster set range
The GEM series firefighting booster range is available in a modular system that’s fully compliant with the EN12845 standard for automatic sprinkler systems and the UNI 10779 standard for hydrant systems.
Xylem configures all modules as a single unit containing a pump which can be either electric or diesel according to your needs. Each one includes all its main components and is connected and assembled in the factory in accordance with EN12845 standards. The correct water supply is obtained by using a combination of modules ? either single, superior single, twin or combined according to your needs ? to the EN12845 standard for firefighting systems.
Commonly, firefighting systems use two main service pumps ? one in ‘run’ and the other in ‘stand-by’. Either electric or diesel motors can be used depending on the level of reliability required from the system. According to point 10.2 of EN12845, in the case of single, superior or double water supplies with several pumps, no more than one service pump can be driven by electric motor. This means that the majority of installations require at least one diesel engine pump acting as a backup to the electric main pump.
GEM series firefighting booster modules come as complete units and include our or e-NSC series horizontal pumps. Our huge range allows you to tailor your choices in accordance with your system demands while remaining EN12845 compliant.
The GEM series firefighting modular booster range includes:
- horizontal, electric end-suction pumps complete with hydraulic side and control panel.
- horizontal, electric end-suction pumps with jockey pump fixed to the base of the electric pump, hydraulic-side control panels fitted on a frame.
- diesel engine pump with end-suction pumps, together with hydraulic-side control panel and fuel tank

The Lowara GHV series booster sets are fully automatic booster sets for water supply. They are equipped with 2-4 variable speed pumps with a Hydrovar pump controller, pressure transmitters and control panel, all mounted on a frame for easy installation. The Hydrovar pump controller is easy to program, designed for maximum energy efficiency and can communicate with a BMS system via Modbus.
The GHV series can be fitted with the following pumps:

The Lowara GS series booster sets are fully automatic booster sets for water supply. They are equipped with 2-3 fixed speed pumps (where one can be a jockey pump), control panel, SM30 controller and pressure transmitters, all mounted on a frame for easy installation. The SM30 is easy to set and can be connected to a BMS system via Modbus.
The GS series can be fitted with the following pumps:

End suction pumps FHE, SHE series from 32 to 80

The e-GS series is a robust 4” pump designed for long life. It’s built mainly in stainless steel, has casted discharge and a special floating impeller design to enhance the wear resistance and to maintain the performance over time.
The e-GS series is designed specially to be used in 4” wells and its ideal for use in irrigation systems, pressure boosting, geothermal systems and fountain applications.
All e-GS pumps can be coupled to 4” NEMA standard motors.

Making wastewater pumping easy
The Lowara 1300-series pumps combines performance and quality in a convenient package. The standardized offer makes it easy to select the right pump and the optimized non-clog hydraulic design is well proven to reduce clogging while also maintaining efficiency.
The 1300-series pumps are ideal for sewage and surface wastewater within municipal and commercial building applications. The 1300 series offers two impeller types; a non-clog impeller with a unique auto cleanse design that gives efficient solids handling capabilities and a vortex impeller where a large free passage is required.

The D5 pumps can be used wherever a highly efficient circulation pump is needed without a direct connection to AC power. They are characterised by their small size, high efficiency and very low power consumption. The shaftless spherical motor technology enables a long, maintenance free and quiet service life. Areas of application are circulating systems in industrial or medical applications, computer and laser cooling, hot water heating in a home or boat with battery-powered pump, ponds and aquariums, domestic hot water systems and car heaters.
The D5 solar pump can be connected directly to a photovoltaic panel and has a MPP tracking that optimizes the pump performance according to the available sunlight.
